Aiten Amer Apologizes to Shaimaa Seif and Receives Response

Egyptian actress Aiten Amer issued an apology to Shaimaa Seif regarding a dispute that occurred six years ago, following Shaimaa's recent remarks about an old video in which she spoke about a colleague who hurt her feelings over the topic of infertility. This led the public to speculate about the identity, which was revealed to be Aiten Amer. In response to Shaimaa's statements, Aiten Amer recorded a video and posted it on her Instagram account titled "A Necessary Apology to Colleague Shaimaa Seif," affirming that Shaimaa holds a special place in her heart and recalling the incident that involved diet and sleeve gastrectomy. Aiten explained that she has a friend who was told by doctors that weight gain affected her fertility, and she was unaware of any fertility issues concerning Shaimaa and her husband. She emphasized her good intentions and regretted that Shaimaa had not informed her earlier, especially since she did not expect to meet her while she was upset. She also revealed the suffering of her late sister, who used to cry nightly due to criticism from her in-laws about infertility, stressing that she does not want anyone else to experience such pain. At the end of the video, Aiten confirmed knowing Shaimaa's residence nearby but preferred to record the video first before visiting her for dinner and reconciliation. Shaimaa Seif responded to the apology by resharing the video with a comment accepting the apology, noting that Aiten's advice was well-intentioned but that some matters should not be discussed. She clarified that their relationship is not strong but rather a simple friendship and collegiality, so boundaries must be respected without delving into personal matters or offering unwanted advice. Shaimaa concluded her comment by stating she moved out years ago and is no longer a neighbor to Aiten, adding that she will send her the new location to keep her informed.
