United States and Iran Engage in "Positive, Constructive" Indirect Talks

A US official confirmed to Axios on Saturday that the United States is holding "positive and constructive" talks with Iran via mediators, covering all subjects, including the nuclear file. Qatari officials have been involved in conveying messages within these indirect negotiations. American negotiators made it clear to their Iranian counterparts that Tehran does not control the Strait of Hormuz, emphasizing that any demands regarding it are unacceptable. This comes as former President Trump stated earlier Saturday his rejection of the latest Iranian proposal presented through mediators during indirect negotiations in New York.
