Umm Qasr Port Receives Giant Ship with Critical Equipment for Iraqi Oil Sector
Umm Qasr North Port berths on Saturday welcomed the KSL MINGYANG vessel, carrying a substantial shipment of 5,209 diverse vital oil equipment pieces. These are designated to bolster Iraqi oil fields and enhance their production capabilities. Alaa Abd al-Hasan al-Akili, Director-General of the General Company for Ports of Iraq, confirmed that "the handling and unloading of the KSL MINGYANG's cargo, which docked at berth 19, proceeded with high efficiency and meticulous organization." He highlighted that "Minister of Transport Wahab al-Hasani's directives underscore the importance of keeping all Iraqi port berths at peak readiness for incoming vessels, ensuring rapid discharge and seamless maritime trade for the nation." Al-Akili further stated that "the company is actively pursuing its operational and technical plans to elevate port operational efficiency. This effort aims to support national economic activity and guarantee the timely arrival of essential shipments to beneficiaries, adhering to the highest performance and safety benchmarks."
