China is considered the largest importer of Iranian oil, while Iran is categorized as the largest exporter of seaborne oil to China. In a related context, claims about the halt of Iranian oil tankers due to sanctions were denied, described as "baseless and part of the psychological and media warfare waged by some Western countries against Iran." According to statistics issued by the Planning Organization, Iranian oil revenues have so far exceeded the budget ceiling, providing the government with greater flexibility in importing goods and supporting national projects.
