Popular Mobilization Denies Iranian Advisors Received Salaries from Iraqi Government During Anti-Terrorism Efforts

The Popular Mobilization Forces denied on Thursday the claims made by an activist on a satellite channel that Iranian advisors received salaries from the Iraqi government during the fight against terrorist groups. The forces emphasized that such irresponsible statements distort the facts of that period, disrespect the blood of the martyrs, and deny the support Iraq received in confronting terrorism. They clarified that the Islamic Republic of Iran provided support to Iraq, including weapons and ammunition, some of which was supplied free of charge, along with dispatching advisors from its top commanders to assist the Popular Mobilization Forces, with 55 of them martyred and many wounded. The statement concluded by honoring the martyrs who volunteered to defend Iraq and its sacred lands without compensation, notably the great martyr commander Hajj Qassem Soleimani, stressing that recalling these facts is a tribute to sacrifices and a preservation of loyalty, and denying them contradicts the integrity and values of the Iraqi citizen.
