Kremlin Confirms Putin's Readiness for Trump Meeting, Offers to Host Zelensky

The Kremlin, via spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, affirmed President Vladimir Putin's readiness to meet with his American counterpart, Donald Trump. Speaking to reporters, Peskov clarified that specific details for any high-level meetings are currently absent, yet he stressed the Russian President's preparedness for discussions with the U.S. side. He noted that both Presidents Putin and Trump consistently reaffirm their willingness for another future meeting during their telephone conversations, if deemed necessary. Regarding a potential meeting between Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Peskov stated Russia's position is well-known. Putin has declared Zelensky is welcome to visit Moscow if he wishes, with all necessary security guarantees provided. Peskov pointed out that Zelensky is fully aware of the decisions he must make. He concluded that, without the completion of expert-level work, a summit between the parties would be impractical, constituting a waste of time.
