Iranian Aviation Authority Halts Sale of Flight Tickets to Iraq Indefinitely

The Iranian Civil Aviation Authority announced on Friday the suspension of the sale and display of flight tickets destined for Iraq until further notice. This decision follows earlier actions by major Iraqi airports, including Najaf, Sulaymaniyah, Erbil, and Baghdad, which had suspended flights by Iranian airlines in compliance with U.S. sanctions. Several other countries, such as the United Arab Emirates, have also halted Iranian flights to and from their territories. Meanwhile, some smaller Iranian airlines continue to operate international flights, notably to China, which has resisted U.S. pressure, and to Armenia.
