Government directives on corruption recovery funds and weapons control

Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi confirmed, during his reception of tribal sheikhs and dignitaries on Monday, the allocation of funds recovered through anti-corruption efforts to feed the future generations fund, praising the role of tribes in supporting the state and consolidating public order. He explained that the government administration succeeded in sparing the country any international isolation and opened channels of joint cooperation, pointing to laying the foundations of effective economic mechanisms through the program budget, which paid great attention to the infrastructure sector of electric power. He indicated that the serious orientation is towards establishing a sovereign entity that elevates the status of citizens, and fighting any thought that reduces state institutions to narrow personal interests that contradict the interest of society. He added that the current financial challenges have cast a heavy shadow on the general situation, which necessitates finding fruitful partnerships with advanced global powers, stressing the importance of attracting foreign investment capitals and ridding the country of any foreign military presence, with expectations that oil production will reach the threshold of ten million barrels per day by 2031. In a related context, he noted the allocation of one and a half trillion dinars to the future generations fund to be added to the financial resources obtained from the looted funds recovery file. At the level of foreign relations, fruitful discussions were held with the Turkish side that resulted in the withdrawal of Turkish forces from their deployment points within the borders, as well as serious discussions with the Kuwaiti side to resolve all pending files in a spirit of mutual honesty. In the file of weapons control, he revealed the agreement of five armed formations to hand over their weapons and the implementation of three of them effectively, with the continuation of dialogue with the rest to protect lives and preserve Iraqi blood. He concluded by emphasizing the allocation of five hundred billion dinars every month to pay the dues of farmers, along with moving forward with the project of distributing one million fully serviced residential plots of land and establishing modern cities that reflect the historical heritage of each province, in addition to keeping the country away from regional conflicts and fortifying internal societal stability.
