European-Ukrainian Summit in London to Bolster Support, Increase Pressure
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is scheduled to meet with French President Emmanuel Macron, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz in London on Sunday. This high-level meeting, as announced by the French presidency, aims to discuss strengthening support for Ukraine and escalating pressure on the Russian war effort. The European leaders will also hold separate discussions among themselves before their meeting with the Ukrainian president. A statement from the French presidency indicated that the summit will provide an opportunity to assess efforts aimed at achieving a just and lasting peace in Ukraine and on the European continent, within the framework of the coalition of the willing formed to provide security guarantees to Kyiv.
