Actor Maged El-Masry Mourns Grandson

Egyptian actor Maged El-Masry announced the tragic death of his infant grandson, Younis, son of Ahmed Maged El-Masry, just eight days following his birth, plunging the family into profound grief. El-Masry broke the sorrowful news through an Instagram story on his official profile, stating: "To God we belong and to Him we shall return; Younis, son of my son Ahmed, has passed away." The actor appeared visibly emotional in tears alongside his son during the funeral proceedings held after Friday prayers at Hassan El-Sharbatly Mosque in Cairo's Fifth Settlement. The newborn's loss came shortly after the father celebrated the arrival of twins, Gabriel and Younis, on October 2, 2026, shared on social networks.
