US Envoy Praises Iraq-Turkey Oil Agreement: Remarkable Diplomatic Leadership from Both Sides

US Envoy Tom Barrak has lauded the oil agreement signed between Iraq and Turkey, describing it as "remarkable diplomatic leadership from both sides." Barrak commented in a post on the 'X' platform regarding Iraq's agreement with Turkey to transport and load Iraqi crude oil via the Iraqi-Turkish pipeline to Ceyhan port, stating that this step represents "remarkable diplomatic leadership from both sides." Earlier today, Saturday, Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaidi affirmed that the agreement between Iraq and Turkey for transporting and loading Iraqi crude oil through the Iraqi-Turkish pipeline to Ceyhan port is a strategic achievement. Al-Zaidi stated in a post on 'X' that this is "an important strategic achievement to ensure the smooth flow of our oil exports and enhance economic cooperation between Iraq and Turkey." He noted that both parties signed an agreement for the transport and loading of Iraqi crude oil to Ceyhan port, with a minimum of 750,000 barrels per day. Al-Zaidi added that Iraqi and Turkish companies will commence their tasks in implementing the agreement, and the governments of both countries will work, within a carefully planned framework, to finalize a broader framework agreement. This agreement will encompass vital sectors such as oil, electricity, and water resources, in addition to other areas of cooperation aimed at strengthening mutual interests and supporting development and stability in the region.
