The Swiss Foreign Ministry announced on Tuesday that the anticipated agreement between the United States and Iran is set for signing on Friday in Bürgenstock, central Switzerland. The ministry confirmed it has been in close contact for several days with the United States, Iran, Pakistan, and Qatar, to facilitate the arrival of delegations in Switzerland and hold a meeting for a potential Memorandum of Understanding signing between the two sides. The signing ceremony is scheduled for Friday, June 19, in Bürgenstock, located in the canton of Nidwalden. This location was proposed by Pakistani and Qatari mediators, with the approval of both the United States and Iran. Switzerland plays a facilitating role, working to create the necessary practical and diplomatic conditions for the success of this meeting on its territory. In a related context, Iranian sources had previously stated that a new round of negotiations between the United States and Iran would begin in Switzerland immediately after the signing of the framework agreement on Friday. These talks, which were slated to conclude within 60 days, were announced by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, according to Tasnim News Agency in Tehran. Araqchi added that ending the war would include ending the Israeli occupation of Lebanese territories, and Iran would consider any new Israeli attacks on Lebanon or continued occupation of those territories as a violation of the concluded agreement. Furthermore, American sources indicated that the United States and Iran had already electronically signed the framework agreement.
