Supreme Judicial Council Head Affirms Support for Syrian Judiciary

The Head of Iraq's Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Faiq Zidan, affirmed today, Thursday, Iraq's readiness to provide any assistance in the judicial field to Syria. During a joint meeting held in Damascus with Syrian Justice Minister Mazhar Abdul Rahman Al-Weis, Zidan lauded efforts to rebuild the Syrian state in all sectors, emphasizing Iraq's support for these endeavors. For his part, the Syrian Justice Minister noted the development of relations between the two countries, particularly economically and securely, expressing Damascus's aspiration to enhance judicial and legal cooperation with Baghdad. Al-Weis clarified that Syria is currently undergoing a pivotal phase aimed at establishing a state of law and institutions.
