"Shandian" Robot Smashes World Record at Beijing International Half Marathon

 The humanoid robot "Shandian" (Lightning) set a historic milestone in Beijing this Sunday, completing the 21-kilometer course in a record time of 50 minutes and 26 seconds, surpassing the human world record. The race featured approximately 300 humanoid robots competing alongside 12,000 human runners on dedicated tracks, amid ideal weather conditions and extensive international media coverage for this event, officially classified by the Chinese Athletic Association as an AI competition.
