The Prime Minister's Office on Friday firmly denied a report published by The New York Times, which claimed Iran rejected a ceasefire proposal. This proposal was reportedly conveyed to Tehran by Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaidi. A statement from the Prime Minister's Media Office confirmed that "the allegations in the report, published on July 23, 2026, are entirely unfounded and bear no relation to reality." The Office called on all media to "exercise accuracy, rely solely on official sources, and refrain from circulating unverified information or that attributed to unknown sources."
