Prime Minister Stresses Bolstering Iraqi Security Decision Independence During Advisory Handover
Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi affirmed on Saturday the importance of continuing to pursue files that strengthen the independence of Iraqi security decisions and uphold national sovereignty. This statement came as he oversaw the handover ceremony at the National Security Advisory. The ceremony, held today, marked the official assumption of duties by the new advisor, Qassem Hassan Al-Aboudi, from the former advisor, Qassem Mohammed Jalal Al-Araji. Al-Zaidi called for enhancing institutional work standards and maintaining professional performance to fulfill all tasks assigned to the advisory, thereby contributing to bolstering security and stability and supporting the security capabilities of various relevant agencies and formations. The Prime Minister commended the distinguished professional performance of former advisor Al-Araji throughout his tenure, reiterating the necessity of sustained follow-up on strategic security programs and files that serve to solidify the autonomy of Iraq's security decision-making and uphold its national sovereignty.
