Prime Minister Praises Peshmerga Unification as Key Step for National Security and Defense Unity

Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi, on Monday, praised the completion of the unification of Peshmerga forces' formations. In a post, Al-Zaidi congratulated the people of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and the Peshmerga heroes on their formations' unification under the Ministry of Peshmerga Affairs. He affirmed this strengthens national security and institutional work. He further stated that unifying security and military forces under constitutional and legal frameworks, along with enhancing coordination among all Iraqi Armed Forces branches, is a crucial step in solidifying national security and the unity of the nation's defense decision.
