Prime Minister Affirms Government's Commitment to Attract German Companies for Development Projects

Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi affirmed on Monday the government's keenness to attract German companies to participate in the implementation of developmental and industrial projects across the country. This came during Al-Zaidi's reception of the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Iraq, Daniel Kriber. The two sides discussed bilateral relations and ways to enhance joint cooperation in various sectors, serving the mutual interests of the two friendly nations. The meeting also addressed current regional and international developments, emphasizing the importance of consolidating stability in the region and promoting dialogue and cooperation as key tools to address common challenges, thereby contributing to the support of international peace and security. The Prime Minister detailed the government's program aimed at implementing comprehensive economic, financial, and administrative reforms, in addition to its ongoing efforts in combating corruption and building efficient and effective state institutions, while fostering an attractive investment environment. He stressed the importance of German companies' active role in diverse developmental, service, and industrial projects. For his part, the German Ambassador reiterated his country's support for the Iraqi government's efforts to enhance stability, continue the fight against corruption, and implement economic, financial, and administrative reforms. He expressed Germany's aspiration to expand cooperation and partnership with Iraq, in a manner that achieves the common interests of both countries.
