The President of the Republic, Nizar Amidi, emphasized today, Saturday, the necessity of cooperation between state institutions to preserve the country's sovereignty.

Amidi said in a speech during his attendance at the graduation ceremony of the batch of American University students: "We are keen to support all efforts to restore the region's security, end the ongoing war, respect the wills of its peoples, and achieve a just and lasting peace through diplomacy and constructive dialogue."

Amidi pointed out "strengthening the state's control over the security file through its constitutional military and security institutions, and banning the possession of weapons or the use of any force outside the constitutional security institutions, which is emphasized by the constitution and urged by the wise religious authority."

Amidi drew attention to "the necessity of cooperation between executive, legislative, and judicial state institutions, and political and societal forces to preserve the country's sovereignty, protect its independence, and take bold decisions to overcome security, financial, and economic crises, and eliminate corruption."

Amidi continued, "We congratulate the graduating students and their honorable families," wishing "them a successful professional life to contribute to the construction and progress we aspire to for our country, Iraq."
