President Affirms Iraq Rejects Use of Its Territory, Airspace for Neighboring Attacks

President Nizar Amidi on Saturday strongly condemned the attacks targeting the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, reaffirming that Iraq categorically rejects the use of its lands or airspace as a launchpad for aggression against neighboring countries. Amidi’s statement emphasized that protecting Iraq's sovereignty and maintaining its relations with its regional surroundings are a firm responsibility of the state and its constitutional institutions. He declared his support for the measures taken by the government following these attacks, stressing the necessity of continuing investigations and taking all necessary legal actions against anyone proven to be involved or responsible, thereby ensuring such aggressions are not repeated in the future. The President added that Iraq is keen on strengthening its relations with Saudi Arabia and all neighboring countries, working to consolidate the foundations of security and stability, and protecting the common interests of the region's peoples, far from any practices that could jeopardize these relations or harm Iraq's security and stability.
