PM Orders Essential Facilitations for Iraqi Pilgrims' Return at Arar Crossing
Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi on Monday directed the provision of all necessary facilities to ensure the safe return of Iraqi pilgrims to their homeland via the Arar border crossing. This directive came during Al-Zaidi's reception of Omar Al-Waili, Head of the Border Ports Authority. They reviewed the Authority's operations, its plans to enhance performance, and procedures for welcoming pilgrims. Al-Zaidi emphasized the Authority head's need to oversee the return process of Iraqi pilgrims through Arar, stressing the importance of providing all requisites for their safe arrival. Discussions also covered the Authority's oversight measures, with Al-Zaidi commending its effective role in maximizing revenues and promoting electronic governance. He affirmed full support for the Border Ports Authority's missions, particularly in combating smuggling and addressing the menace of drugs that threaten society's fabric.
