Parliamentary Security Committee Demands Removal of Cybercrime and Air Defense Bills from Agenda

The Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee has called upon the Presidency of the Council of Representatives to remove the proposed cybercrime law and the law on funding the strengthening of Iraqi air defense systems from Monday's session agenda. A committee member clarified that the demand to withdraw the cybercrime bill stems from its need for extensive scrutiny and study, affirming that the majority of committee members have signed a request for its postponement. The member pointed out that the 16-page law cannot be thoroughly reviewed within two days, hence the committee will insist on its removal from the agenda until its comprehensive review is completed.
