Oman Tows Oil Tanker to Port After Attack, 23 Crew Evacuated
An oil tanker was towed to an Omani port on Tuesday after a fire broke out in its engine room, following an attack off the Omani coast. Twenty-three crew members of the tanker "Ijaya" were evacuated, and search operations continue for two others still missing. The Panama-flagged "Ijaya" was brought to an Omani port after the fire, caused by an earlier targeting incident, was extinguished in its engine compartment. The incident took place 103 nautical miles northeast of Musandam governorate.
