New budget details on contracts and exchange rate

The Parliamentary Finance Committee announced on Tuesday details of its meetings with Finance Minister Faleh Sari regarding the draft general budget provisions. Committee member Rebwar Ourahman stated in press remarks that the minister confirmed the full securing of all employee salaries, pointing out the diversification of oil export sources and the cohesion of the government program due to the stability of exported oil quantities and the ability to cover the budget deficit. Ourahman explained that the US dollar exchange rate has not been definitively determined yet and discussions are ongoing regarding it amid proposals ranging within currently circulated figures. Regarding the employment file, he indicated that the finance minister emphasized stabilizing all contracts on permanent staff and converting daily wages to contract system 315, in addition to creating one hundred thousand new contracts in the budget, allocating half of them for security forces and the other half for various civil jobs.
