Muthanna Council accepts Atabi resignation and selects Hasani

The Muthanna Provincial Council voted on Monday to select Tawfiq Al-Hasani as the new governor, succeeding the resigned Mohanad Al-Atabi. A statement issued by the council clarified that the Muthanna governor officially submitted his resignation to the provincial council, which approved it unanimously, noting that the vote took place by majority to choose Tawfiq Al-Hasani to assume the local administration of the province during the coming phase.
