MP Amer al-Fayez Clarifies Controversy Surrounding Statements on Ali al-Zaidi and Ahmed al-Asadi

MP Amer al-Fayez of the Coordination Framework clarified recent controversy surrounding statements attributed to him regarding Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi and MP Ahmed al-Asadi. In an audio clarification, Al-Fayez aimed to correct public misunderstandings of his remarks. He explained having asked Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi, within the Coordination Framework, if al-Asadi would be arrested should an order be issued against him and he return. Al-Zaidi reportedly replied affirmatively. Al-Fayez emphasized that no arrest or summons order has been issued against MP al-Asadi to date, citing an absence of charges. He unequivocally stressed that circulated reports about his discussion of an arrest warrant or decision to apprehend al-Asadi constitute a false interpretation and an unacceptable distortion of his original statement.
