Moving up the ban date for the famous navigation app to next December

Communications Minister Mustafa Sanad decided on Tuesday to move up the ban date for the Waze application to next December. Sanad explained in an official statement that the previous decision to ban the Waze application at the beginning of 2027 has been canceled and the date has been brought forward to the end of next December, noting that the application is a well-known platform managed by internal and external entities despite the company being sold to Google, in addition to the role of such applications in providing field assistance and supplying relevant parties with money and information. He added that a better and safer alternative will be provided, pointing out that the concerned companies have been alerted to arrange their situations accordingly.
