Millions converge for Arbaeen pilgrimage with no security breaches reported

The Security Media Cell announced Sunday that over 4.4 million visitors from outside Iraq arrived for the Arbaeen pilgrimage, confirming no security breaches were recorded during the event. Lieutenant General Saad Maan, head of the cell, stated that "the total number of foreign arrivals through all ports, from the first of Muharram until today, reached 4,465,079," noting "dense visitor movement and continuous entry." He added that "visitor density across all axes is good, with no security breaches, alongside the continuous presence of leaders and commanders." Maan highlighted "ongoing reverse transport of pilgrims, mobilized service efforts, activated traffic and civil defense, and enhanced intelligence efforts across all sectors." He affirmed the Prime Minister's consistent monitoring of pilgrimage plans, offering directives and support to committees under the High Committee for the Million-strong Pilgrimage. This significantly contributed to the plan's success and flexibility, positively impacting visitor comfort.
