Iraq's Oil Minister Emphasizes Securing Fuel Supply and Boosting Export Capacities
Iraq's Minister of Oil, Basim Mohammed Khudair Al-Abbadi, affirmed on Thursday the paramount importance of the fuel derivatives supply file and ensuring their continuous provision to citizens. This came during his chairmanship of a crisis cell meeting at the ministry headquarters, attended by undersecretaries, advisors, and directors-general of its various formations. Minister Al-Abbadi emphasized the necessity of enhancing export capacities from the southern ports and the northern outlet, stressing the utilization of all available capabilities to support the national economy and secure the necessary financial revenues for the state. He also pointed to the imperative of focusing on securing fuel derivatives for all citizens, relevant entities, and all governorates. He further stressed the need for intensified efforts and high-level coordination among all ministry sectors to achieve its outlined goals and plans under current circumstances, thereby ensuring the continuity of supply operations and the pumping of petroleum derivatives to meet local consumption requirements.
