Iraqi-Turkish Discussions on Cases of Detained and Convicted Turkish Nationals in Iraq

The head of Iraq's Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Faiq Zidan, met today, Thursday, with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, for discussions concerning the files of Turkish nationals convicted or detained in Iraq. The Supreme Judicial Council confirmed that the meeting focused on reviewing the situations of Turkish citizens facing judicial sentences or held in detention within Iraqi territory, in a context aimed at enhancing judicial cooperation between the two countries.
