Iranian President to Visit Pakistan Tomorrow Following Washington Talks

Sources disclosed on Monday that Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian is set to make an official visit to Pakistan tomorrow, Tuesday, following the culmination of talks with Washington. Habib Abbasi, Director General of Public Relations at the Iranian Presidency, confirmed the visit, noting it is expected to last one day. Abbasi clarified that the trip aims to bolster economic relations, focusing on ongoing consultations between Tehran and Islamabad, and expressing Tehran's gratitude for Pakistan's mediation between Iran and the United States. This visit follows the conclusion of the first round of Iran-U.S. negotiations, mediated by Pakistan and Qatar, which spanned approximately a day and a half. Held in Switzerland, these talks led to an agreement, according to mediators, on a 60-day roadmap for a final deal. Despite senior officials, including the Iranian delegation, having returned home, technical negotiations with the United States are slated to proceed for about a week, involving representatives from both nations.
