Head of Judiciary Praises Entities Complying with Arms Confinement, Urges Other Factions to Join
The Head of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Faiq Zidan, expressed gratitude today, Wednesday, to entities that have agreed to the principle of confining arms to the state. A statement from the Supreme Judicial Council indicated Judge Zidan specifically thanked the National Shiite Current, Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq movement, and Kata'ib al-Imam Ali. He praised their response to the Supreme Religious Authority's call, their application of the constitution and law, the Coordination Framework's decision, and their adherence to national calls for arms confinement. This principle was previously emphasized by the Council Head in his speech on January 4, 2026. The Council Head also urged other resistance factions to join those who have consented to this principle, with the goal of enhancing societal security and stability nationwide.
