Head of Judicial Council and Chaldean Patriarch Affirm Support for Civil Peace and National Unity

The Head of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Faeq Zidan, and the Patriarch of the Chaldean Church in Iraq and the World, His Beatitude Patriarch Mar Pauls III Nouna, affirmed on Tuesday the importance of supporting civil peace and promoting national unity. A statement from the Supreme Judicial Council indicated that its head, Judge Faeq Zidan, received His Beatitude Patriarch Mar Pauls III Nouna and his accompanying delegation today. Judge Zidan congratulated the Patriarch on assuming leadership of the Chaldean Church in Iraq and the World, wishing him success in his religious and humanitarian mission. During the meeting, several pivotal issues were discussed, related to consolidating citizenship principles and protecting societal diversity. Emphasis was also placed on the importance of effective cooperation between religious and official institutions to support civil peace and enhance the unity of Iraqi society.
