Government Advisor: No Retreat on Corruption Cases; All Involved to Face Justice Free from Influence
Qassem Al-Araji, the Security Advisor to the Prime Minister, affirmed on Sunday that the government is steadfast in its diligent efforts to solidify the rule of law and safeguard public funds across the nation. Al-Araji clarified in a statement that the fight against corruption has moved beyond mere slogans to become a firm state path, ensuring that no one is exempt from accountability. The advisor emphasized that all individuals proven to be involved in corruption cases will be brought before the judiciary in accordance with established legal frameworks, free from any external influences or pressures. He further noted that the state is resolute in its commitment not to retreat from prosecuting anyone who has misappropriated public funds, thereby ensuring that the law takes its full course and the rights of Iraqi citizens are protected.
