France Reinstates Night Curfew in Central Paris Over Weekend

French authorities announced on Friday the reinstatement of a night curfew in two central areas of Paris for Saturday and Sunday due to concerns over potential renewed violence and disturbances coinciding with preparations for upcoming weekend protests. The curfew will be enforced in the Place de la République and around Châtelet – Les Halles from 11 PM to 6 AM on the nights of October 31 and November 1, with exemptions for residents, workers, and public service employees whose presence in these areas is necessary.
