Finance Committee Announces Minister's Approval for Contract Stabilization in 2027 Budget, Securing Allocations

The Parliamentary Finance Committee announced on Sunday the approval of the Minister of Finance to include the contract stabilization file within the upcoming budget and to provide the necessary financial allocations for it. MP Mohammed Hussein Abu Al-Iss stated that the contract stabilization file is currently with the Ministry of Finance, confirming that Minister Faleh Sari has approved the inclusion of this stabilization within the 2027 budget allocations. The decision also encompasses addressing employment files related to staffing. The Minister of Finance had previously affirmed during parliamentary meetings his commitment to proceed with addressing this file within the budget project. He indicated that the budget is expected to reach the parliamentary Finance Committee during October, following the completion of all preparation requirements, to pave the way for discussions of its articles and allocations within the Council of Representatives. For his part, Ali Shaddad, a member of the Finance Committee, emphasized that the contract stabilization process will be enshrined in a legal text within the 2027 budget. He pointed out that work is ongoing to stabilize all contracts and convert the status of this segment to permanent staff, thereby ensuring job stability and preserving the rights of employees who have spent long years in state institutions under temporary contracts.
