At the outset of the meeting, the attendees extended their condolences to the Islamic nation and the Iraqi people on the martyrdom of the Prophet's grandson in the immortal Ashura incident, commending the role of security and service agencies and Husseini processions in ensuring the success of this great ritual. The Framework also called on its supporters for widespread participation in the funeral procession of the deceased Islamic nation's figure, Sayyed Al-Khamenei, in Iraqi territories, in loyalty to his memory. The Framework reiterated its endorsement of governmental and judicial steps aimed at restoring confidence in the political process, renewing its call for sustained efforts to purify state institutions from the corrupt and negligent, and to halt the squandering of public funds.
