Al-Zidi officially visits Riyadh to discuss regional and economic files
Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zidi arrived on Wednesday in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, on an official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Media Office of the Prime Minister confirmed in a brief statement that Al-Zidi reached Riyadh, without providing additional details regarding the visit's agenda or the scheduled files to be discussed. Al-Zidi is conducting a Gulf tour that includes Kuwait, marking his first since assuming the premiership, where the talks will address political, security, and economic files amid escalating regional tensions and the ongoing war and its repercussions on Iraq and the region. The anticipated tour gains importance in light of the multiple shared files between Iraq and Gulf countries, ranging from security and energy to trade and investment, as well as the challenges posed by the war on regional stability and economies, requiring political, security, and economic coordination among them.
