Al Zaidi receives invitation visit Italy

The Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi received today, Thursday, an invitation to visit Italy.

The Media Office of the Prime Minister stated in a statement received that "the Prime Minister, Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi, received the Ambassador of Italy to Iraq, Nicolo Fontana, who handed him a letter from the Italian Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, congratulating Al-Zaidi on the formation of the new government, and including an invitation for him to visit Italy."

It added that "the meeting discussed bilateral relations between the two sides and ways to develop joint cooperation in various economic, industrial, scientific and other fields, as well as emphasizing the importance of building constructive partnerships that serve the common interests of the two friendly countries."

The office explained that "the meeting witnessed a discussion on developments in the region, emphasizing the necessity of combining regional and international efforts to prevent escalation and ward off the specter of war and its dangerous repercussions on the stability of the region and the world."
