Al-Zaidi Assures Iranian Envoy of Iraq's Welcome to Ceasefire for Security and Stability

This came during his reception of Mohammad Kazem Al-e Sadegh, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Iraq. The ambassador conveyed greetings from Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, stressing Iran's desire to develop bilateral ties and support coordination on common issues. The meeting reviewed cooperation and partnership prospects, and ways to enhance them across various sectors, serving mutual interests. Discussions also covered recent regional developments. Al-Zaidi reiterated Iraq's welcome of the ceasefire and its firm backing for endeavors to establish security, preventing ongoing conflict and threats to regional and international peace.
