Al-Sadr Orders Restructuring of "Saraya al-Salam" in Karbala and Immediate Withdrawal of Weapons and Vehicles

 The leader of the National Shia Movement, Sayyid Muqtada al-Sadr, issued an urgent directive today, Saturday, April 25, 2026, to restructure the "Saraya al-Salam" faction in the holy governorate of Karbala. The decision included the withdrawal of all weapons and vehicles belonging to the faction, following the security events that took place in the province yesterday, Friday. This measure comes as part of al-Sadr's efforts to regulate security performance within the movement's branches and maintain the stability of holy cities away from any armed repercussions.
