Al-Maliki receives Oil Minister emphasizing importance upgrading gas energy sectors

The head of the State of Law Coalition, Nouri al-Maliki, emphasized today, Sunday, the importance of developing the oil industry and upgrading the reality of the oil and gas sectors, contributing to increasing Iraq's production capacities and enhancing its oil policy to face current challenges, during his reception of the Minister of Oil, Basem Muhammad Khudaier.

Al-Maliki's media office stated in a statement that the latter received today, in his official office, the Minister of Oil, Basem Muhammad Khudaier, expressing his welcome to the minister, wishing him success in performing his new duties.

The head of the State of Law Coalition stressed the importance of the role played by the Ministry of Oil's cadres in various specialties in developing the oil industry and upgrading the reality of the oil and gas sectors, contributing to increasing Iraq's production capacities and enhancing its oil policy to face current challenges, calling for benefiting from Iraqi competencies and developing their capabilities through continuous training and qualification.

For his part, the Minister of Oil expressed his thanks and appreciation to Nouri al-Maliki, stressing his keenness to exert maximum efforts to upgrade the ministry's performance, work on developing infrastructure, and raise the country's production capacity, in coordination with specialized international companies, to serve the national interest.
