US Energy Secretary: Significant Oil Flow from Arabian Gulf Exceeds Usual Average

US Energy Secretary Chris Wright announced Tuesday a significant volume of oil flowed from the Arabian Gulf last Sunday. He clarified this quantity surpassed the prevailing average prior to the recent regional conflict. Wright noted coordinated efforts between the US military and its Gulf allies contributed to an average oil flow through the Strait of Hormuz of nearly 9 million barrels per day over seven days. He added that by including an additional 5 to 7 million barrels per day flowing through recently upgraded pipelines and export facilities, total current oil flows now reach approximately 15 million barrels daily. The Secretary emphasized that oil volume from the Arabian Gulf on Sunday alone exceeded 20 million barrels, surpassing pre-conflict rates.
