US Energy Secretary Hints at Potential Partial Sanctions Relief for Iran Upon Deal Reached
US Energy Secretary Chris Wright stated on Friday that the United States could partially lift sanctions on Iran if an agreement is reached. Wright added, in remarks reported by an international news agency, that Iranian crude oil has not exited the Strait of Hormuz. He noted that approximately seven million barrels of oil exited Gulf waters on Friday with American military assistance.
