US Central Command Announces End to Iran Naval Blockade

The U.S. Central Command announced Thursday the lifting of the naval blockade on Iran. This decision aligns with the start of implementing a memorandum of understanding to end conflict between Iran and the United States. In a statement, the Command reported U.S. forces today removed restrictions on all maritime navigation to and from Iranian ports and coastal areas, following presidential directives. It clarified U.S. forces no longer impede ship passage to and from Iranian ports in the Arabian Gulf and Gulf of Oman, confirming all military blockade enforcement efforts have ceased. The Command emphasized its large naval vessels will remain in the region to ensure full adherence to all agreement provisions and their complete, effective implementation.
