UNICEF Suspends Activities in Northern Gaza After Water Truck Attack Kills Drivers

 UNICEF has announced the suspension of its field operations in northern Gaza following a direct attack on its water trucks by Israeli fire on Saturday morning. The incident, which occurred at the Al-Mansoura filling point, resulted in the deaths of two contracted drivers and the injury of others during a routine water delivery mission intended for hundreds of thousands of residents.

The organization expressed deep outrage, highlighting that Al-Mansoura is currently the only operational facility feeding Gaza City from the "Mekorot" water line. UNICEF called on Israeli authorities to launch an immediate investigation and ensure accountability, emphasizing the vital need to protect humanitarian workers and civilian infrastructure under international law.
