Tehran Rules Out Temporary Ceasefire with US

Iran's Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, stated Friday that Tehran rejects a temporary ceasefire with the United States. Araghchi affirmed this option is not viable without fulfilling Iran's demands regarding the Strait of Hormuz. He noted that every U.S. attempt to test Iran has met a decisive response, yet Washington persists in its current approach. He stressed that the existing crisis isn't due to a lack of mediators, as Pakistan and Qatar continue their efforts. The fundamental problem, he concluded, is the U.S. approach itself, which must change.
