Tehran Mural Shows Trump in Coffin; 'We Will Kill Him' Slogan Sparks Revenge Demands
A new mural was unveiled in Tehran's Revolution Square, depicting US President Donald Trump lying in a coffin, according to images circulated by Iranian media today, Wednesday. The mural portrays Trump inside a coffin draped with the American flag, beneath a phrase written in both Farsi and English: "We will kill Trump." The installation of this mural follows a series of demands from Iran's hardline faction for revenge after the assassination of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, and amid escalating military confrontation between Iran and the United States. The funeral of Iran's Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, last week was marked by strong popular calls for retaliation and Trump's assassination, in addition to statements by Iranian officials and MPs reflecting "a deep ideological, religious, and operational commitment among the new leadership, supported by a secret infrastructure established years ago," according to a previous report by "Israel Hayom." According to Israeli assessments, "revenge is no longer an option but has become a crucial test for the new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei," who reportedly operates from a hiding place after being injured during the war, as per senior Israeli and American officials. Mojtaba Khamenei affirmed in a message published on Saturday that "this revenge is the will of our people, and it must be fully carried out." Furthermore, "Seda Iran" newspaper, affiliated with the Supreme Leader's office, warned that abandoning revenge would give Iran's enemies "the green light to commit more heinous crimes."
