Supreme Judicial Council Announces Seizure of Significant Funds and Properties in Oil Ministry Official's Investigation

The Supreme Judicial Council announced on Monday the seizure of significant funds and properties during ongoing investigations with the detained suspect, Ali Maaraj Swaidij Al-Bahadli, Undersecretary for Distribution Affairs at the Ministry of Oil. Judge Dhia Jaafar, an investigating judge at the Central Criminal Court for Anti-Corruption, clarified that preliminary investigations with Al-Bahadli resulted in the confiscation of 11 million US dollars and 4 billion Iraqi dinars. The specialized judge added that the seizure operation also included several real estate properties, noting that investigations in the case are still ongoing to uncover further details.
