Senior Emirati Official: Policy Targeting Gulf States and Jordan Proved Futile

Anwar Gargash, Diplomatic Advisor to the UAE President, affirmed on Monday the failure of policies targeting Arab Gulf states and Jordan. On his X account this morning, Gargash stated that "the no-war, no-peace situation isn't a sustainable solution, and targeting Gulf states and Jordan has proven futile." He called for realistic, sustainable political solutions addressing the crisis's political and economic dimensions, beginning with de-escalation and normalising navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. Gargash added that this would lead to a more realistic approach, surpassing the Memorandum of Understanding, which failed to establish a practical and acceptable roadmap.
